Thanks to all for coming. There will be a combined newsletter this month. Thanks to Katie for her secretary work the last few years and welcome to Ruth.

Newsletter:
Dorita is the new newsletter editor as well as webmaster. Deadline: May 26th the Thursday after the day meeting.

Programs:
Day: Lois Kershner

• May: "Autumn in the Highlands" continued - led by Carol Crowell
• June: "Sewing Cards" - led by Dorita Menconi. This is a Challenge project for you to design. Bring finished project to the August meeting for prize awards.
July: "Long May She Wave" herringbone variations, led by Lois Kershner. Bring threads and stretcher bars. The project can be Fourth of July or a Christamas Tree.

Evening: Dorita Menconi

• July: "Sally's Lights" by Susan Portra. Kit is enough for 1 light.

Workshops: Judy Polic
Ultimate Finishing Opportunity - Give Judy a list of the pieces you plan to finish stitching by the April '08 Anniversary meeting. $1 per item.

Group Correspondence Courses: Charlene Barron
The "King Tut" kits have come. Anyone who wants to do this project can sign up on their own. Due Oct. 27th, 2007.

Stitch-Ins: Judy Polic

• July - No stitch-in due to the July 4th holiday.

Old Business:

1. Golden Hearts - Bev Worthington will take the job
2. Budget Committee - Dorita has put together a preliminary budget. It will be in the newsletter.
3. Bylaws - Lois is reviewing the changes requested by National.

New Business:

1. Field Trip - Filoli is having a needlework exhibit in October. Lois will check for October meeting possibility.
2. August Meeting Date: The August meeting date has been moved to Aug 20th so as not to conflict with seminar.
3. County Fair - Pat has entry forms due by June 28th. Entries due by July 14th. Entrants may be from counties other than Santa Clara. Also, sign up for volunteering in booth. Fair dates: 8/1 - 8/5

Good News:

• Kathy Bensons' husband is OK after a fainting spell.
• Cathie's speeding ticket was dismissed.
• Lois has added a room which almost completed for doing needlework and craft related activities.
