Cole's Quilts

Our chapter has taken on the stitching of 16 quilt blocks to make a quilt for a child with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. For more information about this project visit Cole's Quilts.

Iraqi Outreach:

One of our newest members, Tammy Chedid, has been hard at work gathering and sending stitching supplies to refugee women in the camps in Damascus. These women have been uprooted from their homes and are sorely in need of a way to help support their families. Tammy is looking for our support in helping her supply materials as well as for ideas for marketing the final products. At the March meeting she showed us a couple of finished pieces that the women had sent her as a thank you for her generous donation. If you have any threads or fabrics that you wish to donate, bring them to a meeting and she will make sure they are put to good use. She is also looking into a group that is teaching children in Kenya to stitch so be thinking about what you have that would be useful for that project as well.

Santa Clara County Fair

This year's fair was a huge success. We had kids coming back everyday to see what that day's stitching project would be. So think about what we can have ready for these up and coming stitchers next year.
